The factory intercooler piping for the 1.6L Turbo has a small resonator pipe installed just after the turbo compressor outlet.

We believe this is to reduce any compressor noises for the driver. You can see it in the CAD rendered photo below.

The stock pipe is baffled on the inside which that creates a disturbance in air flow. Our replacement helps get airflow towards a laminar flow condition by reducing pressure drop, and results in slightly better throttle response and a couple horsepower over the rev range. It’s not much, but every little bit does help.

The Delete Pipe is also made to exact OEM measurements for fitment. This ensures you have a direct, perfect fitting replacement. The Pipe is made from durable 6061-T6 Aluminum pipe with a .07″ wall thickness.
